Hello, I'm Louie.

I have been drawing and sketching for as long as I can remember—basically since I could hold a crayon. Growing up, no surface in my parents’ house was truly safe from my doodles. I dreamed of becoming an illustrator, painter, or comic book artist, and that love for sketching has never left me.

Today, as a designer, I use sketching to explore ideas, imagine environments, and sometimes just to scratch a creative itch. I often stress to younger colleagues that a sketch doesn’t have to be technically beautiful—it just needs to communicate your big idea clearly. Since the pandemic, I’ve gone fully digital, sketching 100% on an iPad using Procreate App that allows me to quickly sketch over photographs, 3D renderings, test out materiality in quick fashion (which has saved many trees, no more paper and lots of time,  scaling on a printer and Prismacolor ink stains on my shirt sleeves).
